Peter Winocur

Winocur, Peter, 63, of Lake Grove, New York passed away Friday June 21st, 2019 at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in Manhattan, NY. He was the husband of Karen Kauffmann.Born in Yonkers, NY and son of the late Jack and Rita Winocur.

Peter developed his leadership skills at a young age as captain of his roller hockey team in Brooklyn. He was a team player which continued throughout his life and followed him through success in entrepreneurship.

Peter was a very strong, charismatic and lovable person. He had a positive outlook on life that couldn’t help but rub off on all those around him. His nature has always been putting everyone before himself. He loved the greatoutdoors, cooking, fishing, birdwatching and spending time with family.

Besides his beloved wife, he is survived by four children; John Winocur and fiancée Shalane Loehn of New Orleans, LA, Julie Winocur and Tim Storck of Northport,NY, Jessica Bordeleau and husband C.J. Bordeleau of Framingham,MA and Tina Kauffmann and fiancé Andrew Lawton of Lake Grove, NY. He also leaves his sister Pauline Bandolik of Brooklyn, NY.

For those who wish to gather in memory of Peter, service hours will be Tuesday from 2-4pm and 7-9pm at Moloney’s Funeral Home, 840 Wheeler Rd in Hauppauge, NY .
