Prudence "Provy" Russo

Prudence “Provy” Russo 1925-2026 of Centereach originally from Ridgewood Brooklyn has gone home to be with our Lord on May 11, 2026.

At the age off 100 she lived a full and colorful life. Bridging the gap between 5 generations. Choosing to remain single afforded her the opportunity to devote her time to her first love, family followed by her passion for travel which always included gambling. After working 26 years in the garment industry she relocated to Centereach to be closer to her remaining older sister’s and side-kick Coco.

As years passed, she found herself to be the matriarch of the Russo clan. She filled her later years by being involved in all of our lives and in everything we did. Being pre-deceased by 8 siblings she always said “I never had children of my own, but inherited these”. As happy as she was to have inherited us, so were we to have her in our lives for so long.

As she journeys home, she leaves us with wonderful memories that we will cherish forever. We are saddened by our loss, but overwhelmed with joy that she reunited with the family she has missed for so long all these years.
