McLehose, Richard A. of Ronkonkoma, NY on August 2, 2017 in his 88th year. Beloved husband of 50 years of the late Loretta. Grandfather of the late Thomas (DJ Pockets). He was a devoted father of Linda Mahoney (Ed), Jean Thompson (Michael), Richard (Donna) & Carole Quinn (Tommy). Adored grandpa of Susan, Karen, Richie Mac, Christopher, Jason, Kimberly, Michael, Adam, Caity, Jessica and Jason. Most loved Pop of Devin, Matthew, Christopher, Katherine, Miranda, Sean, Oliver, Lorelei, Ayden. A special Pops to Dennis, Margaret, Jennifer, Rich, Jacob, Katie, Keith & Kelly. Richard was a volunteer fireman for over 50 years. Starting with the Levittown FD (Lieutenant) and continued until recently with the Dix Hills FD as a former Captain and current Fire Police. He also was a district dispatcher for Dix Hills Fire Department. He was honorably discharged from the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a member and past president of the N.A.P.E. (National Association of Power Engineers). Also, the former owner of Coach and Horses Bar, Commack, NY.
