Rosario Martin

It is with great sadness and deep love that we announce the passing of our beloved mother and matriarch of the family; a radiant light to all who knew her, Rosario Martin, lovingly known as "mami Charo", born March 28, 1930, passed away peacefully on August 29, 2026.

Loving and devoted wife to Alejandro Martin (Deceased); mother to Marco (Gladys), John (Luz), Elsa Deery (John, deceased); Lucy Rose (James); grandmother to Brian (Ashlie); Macauley, Patrick (Christine), and Jennifer; great-grandmother to Aurora and Sebastian. Cherished sister, aunt, and friend.

Her kindness, strength, generosity and love touched anyone who had the privilege of knowing her. She was happiest when caring for others, especially her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She loved celebrating life's special moments, creating a home full of love, warmth, laughter and good food.

She additionally loved watching sports, including FIFA World Cup, NHL Hockey playoffs, and especially The Pittsburgh Steelers.

We will forever cherish her memory, and she will be lovingly remembered by her surviving brother, nieces, nephews, family and friends.

All are invited to celebrate her life on Thursday, September 3rd, 3-7PM at Moloney's Lake Funeral Home: 132 Ronkonkoma Ave, Lake Ronkonkoma, NY 11779. Mass will be held on Friday, 11AM at Parish of the Holy Cross, 95 Nichols Rd Nesconset, NY 11767.
