Ruth Young-Gibson

It is with much sadness that we announce the passing of Ruth Young-Gibson. She was born Ruth Lillian Purcell on January 16th,1936 in Springfield Gardens N.Y. As a teenager the family moved to Amityville, N.Y. where she was a graduate of Amityville High School. 

Ruth lived for almost 60 years in Ronkonkoma where she raised her family. She loved her home, her flowers and most of all family. She was married to Alfred C. Young and Leon H. Gibson who both predeceased her. Surviving are her beloved children: Karen(Edward)Turi, Carol(Arthur) Watkins and Robert(Barbara)Young. Her cherished grandchildren Allison, Christopher, Kyle, Kerri, Lindsay, Jason and great grandsons Dylan, Michael and Jaxon. 

Ruth will be missed by her family and many lifelong friendships that she held dear.
