Sal is predeceased by his wife Marion, his parents John and Mary, his sister Camilla and grandson Nicholas.

He is survived by his son John, daughter-in-law Fran and son George, step children Judyann and Jimmy. Grandfather to Michelle (Max), Jenna (Wilver), Jess (Erik), CJ (Rachel), James (Heather), Anthony (Daniela), Nicole and Danielle (CJ). Great grandfather to Jason, Sean, Levi, Enzo, Ian, Jaden, Ellie, Michael, Thomas, Isabella and Jack.
