Sonia Santos, 79, of Patchogue, New York, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family.
Sonia worked for many years at Pilgrim Psychiatric Hospital, where she was admired for her compassion and dedication. She enjoyed word search puzzles, shopping, and had a deep appreciation for Asian culture. Her favorite music was Mexican mariachi, which always brought her joy.
A woman of strong Catholic faith, Sonia’s greatest love was her family. She was a devoted mother to Darlene, John, and Randy, and a cherished grandmother whose heart overflowed with love for her children and grandchildren.
Family and friends gathered at Maloney Funeral Home in Central Islip, New York, to celebrate her life and honor her memory. Sonia will be remembered for her kindness, her laughter, and the love she shared with all who knew her.
