Susan Frances Wind

Wind, Susan Frances of Bluffton, SC on November 19, 2015 in her 66th year. Loving wife of Kenneth William Wind. Cherished daughter of the late Michael and Georgianna Pappas. Devoted mother of Jacqueline Clinton (Philip) and Eileen McCullough (Matthew). Adored grandmother to Caitlyn, Victoria, Grace, and Harrison Clinton. Also to Madeline, Lily and Annabel McCullough. Beloved sister to Mary Ann Lico, Thomas Pappas, Georgianna Pappas, Regina Pappas, the late Judith Shaw Hoctor, the late Lois Shaw Michin and the late Michael Pappas.
Susan was born in New York, NY. She graduated from Hunter College, NY with a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education, and spent her career teaching at Grundy Avenue Elementary School, Holbrook, NY. She and her husband called Wading River, NY their home for more than three decades. Her retirement years were thoroughly enjoyed by spending time with her grandchildren, traveling and donating her time and sewing talents to Julie’s Mission and The Sew What Club. She was a living testament to the philosophy that every day of life was meant to be celebrated.
Arrangements entrusted to Moloney’s Hauppauge Funeral Home, 840 Wheeler Road (Rt. 111), Hauppauge, NY where a celebration of Life will be held Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Memorial Mass Monday 10:30AM, St. Patrick’s R.C. Church, Smithtown.
