In Loving Memory of Suzanne Margaret Reilly
Suzanne Reilly, a woman of incomparable strength and grace, passed away peacefully on April 29, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family.
She was born on October 25, 1945, in Brooklyn to Matthew and Margaret Fauvell. Suzanne grew up in Whitestone and later moved to West Islip, where she attended West Islip High School. She was exemplary in her achievements, setting a high standard for her 12 siblings.
Suzanne married her beloved husband, John Reilly, and together they raised eight children. She was a devoted wife, a dedicated homemaker, and a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She is survived by her husband, John, and seven of their children: Mark, Kathleen, Sean, Michelle, Mary, James, and Regina. She was predeceased by her eldest son, Daniel, who passed away in 1988. Suzanne was the proud grandmother of 23 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
A woman of deep and abiding faith, Suzanne played an integral role in St. Joseph’s Prayer Center from 1973 to 2001. She and John began by hosting a Couples Prayer Group in their home and went on to serve as the Director of the Prayer Center, touching countless lives through her ministry.
Suzanne was the anchor of her home—a steady and unwavering presence whose faith and courage carried those around her through every season of life. To all who knew her, she was a rock: strong, steadfast, and constant in her love. Her bright spirit illuminated every room, and her laughter brought light even in the darkest moments. Her wisdom guided her children, friends, and all who sought her counsel, while her tenacious heart taught the enduring power of perseverance and hope.
Throughout her life, she faced every challenge with courage and faith, never losing sight of the goodness in others or the beauty in each day. Her example remains a lasting foundation—a reminder to live with strength, to love with devotion, and to stand firm in what is true.
All who were blessed to know and love her will continue to honor her legacy by living as she did—with grace, resilience, and a love that knows no limits.
