Veronica “Ronnie” Gutleber
February 11, 1932 – June 6, 2026
Veronica “Ronnie” Gutleber passed away peacefully at home in Spring, Texas, on June 6, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. She was 94.
Born at home in Queens, New York, on February 11, 1932, Ronnie was the beloved daughter of John and Catherine Breslin. Raised alongside her three siblings by devoted Irish parents, she grew up in a home grounded in faith, family, and love.
Ronnie attended Our Lady of Perpetual Help Elementary School and later Bishop McDonnell Memorial High School in Brooklyn, New York. In 1953, she married the love of her life, Conrad Gutleber, beginning a marriage that brought her lifelong joy.
Ronnie loved cooking, playing tennis, exercising in the pool, and opening her home to family and friends. Her greatest joy was raising her four children: John, Stephen, Kathleen, and Laureen, and her happiest moments were spent surrounded by those she loved. As her family grew, she treasured being a grandmother and cherished every opportunity to celebrate milestones, share traditions, and make lasting memories with her grandchildren.
Wherever she lived, whether in Douglaston Manor or Garden City, New York; Duck Key, Florida; or most recently, Spring, Texas, Ronnie created a warm and welcoming home for family and friends. She enjoyed traveling and treasured time with loved ones. She was known for her dependability, caring nature, and deep faith. A devout Catholic throughout her life, she lived with quiet strength, compassion, and unwavering devotion to others.
She will be remembered for her kindness, steadfast love, and the example she set for her family and all who knew her. Her legacy lives on through her children, grandchildren, friends, and the many lives she touched.
Ronnie is survived by her daughters, Kathleen Lawrence and her husband, Bill, of Spring, Texas, and Laureen Feehan and her husband, John, of Parrish, Florida; her beloved grandchildren, David and Whitney Lawrence, Matthew Lawrence, Jordan and Kit Lawrence, Dr. Tara and Anthony Carela, and Micaela Feehan; her sister, Anne Kalbacher; her brother, Michael Breslin; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Conrad Gutleber, and her sons, John Gutleber and Stephen Gutleber.
A visitation will be held at Roslyn Heights Funeral Home, 75 Mineola Avenue, Roslyn Heights, NY 11577. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 130 Fifth Street, Garden City, NY 11530, followed by interment at St. Charles Cemetery in Farmingdale, New York.
