In Loving Memory of Vito Marziliano
Our beloved Vito Marziliano, 87, peacefully passed away on Saturday, May 31st surrounded by his loved ones at his home in Hauppauge.
Born in Bitetto, Bari, Italy on February 4,1938, son to the late Girolamo and Cesaria Marziliano, he lived a wonderful life filled with love and happiness.
In May 1966, Vito emigrated to the United States and settled down in Brooklyn, with his loving wife, Maria of almost 60 years. He worked as a tailor in Macy’s Kings Plaza for 30 years before retiring. Vito designed and created for his family beautiful handmade clothes throughout the years. He was always ready to lend a helping hand when needed. Vito was a happy person and loved to dance, grow his vegetable garden and enjoyed making homemade tomato sauce with his wife and daughters. He also loved making homemade wine with his father and brothers in the garage in Brooklyn.
He was a dedicated member of the Men’s Society of Mutual Aid of Beato Giacomo of Bitetto and enjoyed participating in the many activities of the society with his fellow members.
Vito is survived by his devoted wife, Maria, his loving children, Rosanna, Joanna and Patricia, his loving sons in law, Eddie and Drew and his cherished grandchildren, Marc, Christina, Erica, Vanessa and Andrea, who were the light of his life.
Vito lived a good life and was kind, compassionate, very generous and so devoted to his family. We will miss him terribly, but his love and memory will be in our hearts forever.
