Wayne A. Bauer, 67, of Calverton, NY, passed away peacefully on October 9, 2024. Born on June 27, 1957, in Queens, NY, Wayne was the eldest son of Daniel Bauer and Dolores LeBlanc. He was raised in Lake Ronkonkoma, NY, alongside his brothers Barry and Ronald, and attended Sachem Schools.
Wayne married his high school sweetheart in 1983, and together they built a life filled with love and family, raising three children: Tina, Wayne Jr. and Stephen. In the late 1980s, Wayne pursued his entrepreneurial spirit and founded his own fire restoration business, which became a testament to his hard work and dedication.
Known for his love of motorcycles, Western and horror movies, Wayne had a special way of expressing his love for his family, often through his legendary bear hugs, which enveloped you with warmth and strength. He was a man of simple joys-whether it was enjoying popcorn, peanuts, or ice cream, or spending time lifting weights, one of his lifelong passions.
In 2011, Wayne met his beloved partner, Helen Rios and her daughter Sara. Together, they traveled and created beautiful memories on the East End of Long Island, in Puerto Rico, and particularly cherished their time visiting vineyards and staying at the Soundview Inn in the Hamptons.
Wayne leaves behind his three children, Tina, Wayne Jr., and Stephen as well as his cherished grandson, Aydin Bauer. He is also survived by his brothers Barry and Ronald and his cherish Sister-in Laws; Nancy and Lisa. Along with his many dear friends and loved ones.
Wayne's vibrant spirit, his love for adventure, and his great bear hugs will be deeply missed but forever remembered.
