William "Bill" George Brock

William "Bill" George Brock, 77, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 13th in North East, Maryland. Born on August 19, 1948, Bill lived a life defined by curiosity, steadiness, and love for his family.

After high school, Bill enlisted in the Air Force where he served in the Vietnam War. When he returned, he married his high school sweetheart, Cindy and they moved to California where he continued to serve. After his military service, they moved back home to Long Island where he continued his distinguished 28-year career with Northrop Grumman, where he worked on projects he remained proud of throughout his life - most notably contributing to the Lunar Lander program. They started a family ten years later when Erik arrived, followed shortly by Alexandria, Ian and Griffin. They shared a boisterous home in Cold Spring Harbor with Cindy's sister Susan Trecartin and her two children Ellen and Colin.

After Cindy passed from cancer, Bill moved to North East, MD where he enjoyed the quiet neighborhood and softer seasons with his wife Susan Daniel-Brock until her passing. Bill is survived by his loving children: Erik Brock (Kim) of Rochester, NY; Alexandria (Eric) Hogge of Orange, TX; Ian Brock (Kate) of Huntington, NY; and Griffin Brock of Cold Spring Harbor, NY as well as his nephew Colin (Jen) Trecartin. Bill also cherished his role as a grandfather to Penelope, Scarlett, Chase, and Mackenzie, who brought him immense joy.

Bill is predeceased by his parents, William and Edna Brock, and by his wives, Cynthia Brock and Susan Daniel-Brock and his niece Ellen Trecartin.

A lifelong lover of history, Bill delighted in sharing stories, facts, and anecdotes that reflected his wide-ranging interests. He also passed on his appreciation for classic comedies - especially Blazing Saddles and Monty Python and the Holy Grail - which filled his home with laughter throughout the years.

Bill will be remembered for his intelligence, wit, and steadfast love for his family. His legacy lives on in the lives he shaped, the stories he shared, and the curiosity he inspired in those who knew and loved him. "I think you've had enough" - Blazing Saddles
