Please join us as our town and Country honor William T. Cleary with a Memorial Service at Calverton National Cemetery. William was the Bombaradier on his plane that was shot down, taking the lives of the entire crew of 10. His legacy will be complete as we memorialize him to his Long Island soil. It has been eighty-one years since his death. This Memorial has been recorded by the Lake Ronkonkoma Heritage Association, and has been done to honor his father, John Richard Cleary Sr. and his little brother, James Cleary, with the wish that they too will rest in peace knowing all is in order and William is "Home at Last".
An Honor Procession will be held as we approach the Cemetery. Suffolk County Police have complete jurisdiction for this Honor Procession.
