It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of William Patrick O’Dwyer, Jr., 72, of Stony Brook, NY, on September 13, 2025. He was born on October 22, 1952, in Rockville Centre to the late William P. O’Dwyer and Virginia O’Dwyer, and was the brother of Maureen Riley, Daniel O’Dwyer, Michael O’Dwyer, and the late John O’Dwyer.

A proud graduate of Holy Family High School (1970) and SUNY Farmingdale, William went on to become a successful small business owner and dedicated professional in the construction industry.

William’s legacy is one of hard work, dedication, and a deep love for his family and the great outdoors. As an avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed fishing, gardening, skiing, and boating. He had a gift for sharing his interests and enjoyment of life with those he loved, and he greatly valued the time he spent with his family.

He is survived by his beloved wife of forty-nine years, Marguerite O’Dwyer, and their children: Lauren Perrone (Michael), William M. O’Dwyer (Kathryn), and Thomas A. O’Dwyer (Carolyn). He was also a proud grandfather to nine grandchildren: Alexander, James, Elizabeth, William, Caroline, Aubrey, Wesley, Aiden, and Brian.

William will be deeply missed by all who knew him, and his memory will live on in the hearts of his family, friends, and the many lives he touched throughout his years.
