Amelia “Emily” Keiper, 89: left this world on March 24, 2020 in Stony Brook NY.

Born December 14, 1930 in Brooklyn, NY. The daughter of Christino and Amelia Vega. Emily is survived by her husband of 62 years, William “Bill” Keiper Sr., her children William “Billy” Keiper Jr., and Laura -Jean Honohan (her husband Robert)  grandchildren Christopher Robert Honohan, Dominick Andrew Parisi (his wife Lauren), her great-grandson Anthony Josephe Forlano-Parisi, her brother Christino Vega, sisters-in-law Dorothy Gannon, Bridget Keiper, and many beloved nieces and nephews.

Bill and Emily met in Brooklyn and were married at St. Alphonsus in Greenport, NY on June 1, 1957.

They moved to LI in July of 1965 where they raised their 2 children. Emily was a loving wife and mother, homemaker, and great cook. In 1972 she went to work for Gull Electronic Systems (now Parker Hannifin Corp) as the Executive Receptionist, where she continued to work until 2013. Emily was the face and the voice of the company and was admired by many of her co-workers. She loved organizing company gatherings and trips. Emily made many life-long friends.

 Emily loved her family and enjoyed shopping, history, cooking (almost always with way too much garlic), dancing, music, a good party, and a glass Pinot Grigio. (or two)

A daughter, wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister-in-law, aunt, and friend.

“The world changes from year to year, our lives change from day to day, but the love and the memory of you, shall never fade away”

A celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
