Douglas Edward Johnson

Douglas Johnson, 59 of Brentwood, NY passed away on March 21, 2020. He was born on March 7, 1961 in West Islip, NY to Mellis and Janice Johnson. Doug was married to his wife Michele on August 12, 1981, and they were happily married for 38 years.
Doug enjoyed several hobbies from scuba diving to golf to model airplanes but by far woodworking was his favorite. If you were lucky enough to have received a gift from him, you know it was a gift that was made from the heart, with blood, sweet and tears. These gifts are treasures and we will always have a part of him with us. Doug is known for being a MacGyver, if you ever needed help, call Doug he would be there and know how to fix it. He also loved to travel and was lucky enough to visit all 50 states, but I would say his favorite place was to be in the Happiest Place on Earth, Disney with his family. He enjoyed spending time with his family and had a love for this grandkids like no other.
Doug is survived by his mother Janice, his loving wife Michele and 4 children and their spouses, Sara & PJ, Melissa & David, Kimberly & Steven and Michael. He also had 6 wonderful grandchildren, Lauren, Hannah, Nicole, Joey, Morgan and Scarlett. As well as his niece Danielle, husband Ervin, and great niece and nephew Angelina and Evan.
He was preceded in death by his Father Mellis and Sisters Donna and Dawn.
He was a great dad and husband and an even greater Grumpa to his grandkids. He was loved and will be missed very much.
