To the Walsh family, I am so sorry for your loss. I only knew Eugene since high school, but have fond memories of him from soccer games and being at the house with Trish. I know his loss will be felt forever, but I hope your memories and the fact that he left such an impact on so many will provide some comfort. Sending love to you all.

Our condolences to Patty and the entire family. So very sorry to hear of Eugene's passing. Much love.
My mom always said her and uncle U were tight; youngest of the bunch, they sort of bonded young. Very similar my mom and Uncle U, from their looks to their heart they are mirrors. Uncle U took me in during a time we dealt with a tragedy in our home. He inspired the hobbyist in me during that time; which I learned flowed from grandpa; it was awesome to discover that common interest with them. Uncle U was transparent, you meet him you know him; coolest example of an uncle. My story is about him taking me "Eugene driving" which I pronounced guujeen driving lol. We would go off road and it was a blast, I still take out door trips today. Something that just stuck with me, the adventure of it. My mom has a jeep now and I might have recreated that memory a time or two with my boys. Cheers to a devoted father, husband, son and brother. One hell of an example for a nephew; which is something I will cherish and continue to try and replicate.
Please tell grandma, grandpa, uncle Johnny and Kelly I said hello. RIP Uncle U... I'm sure we will meet again, and hopefully my plane doesn't nose dive into the ground when I throw it!!

Just watched the video - I was very emotional and became more so when I saw the bunny on Eugene's leg. He was quite an Irish-looking lad. I am wondering why I am so emotional over the passing of Eugene and I find myself going back to when I first met him (the only time, except for seeing him at the get-together this summer) and sat next to him at Margaret's wedding (have the picture out on my coffee table right now) - my impression was a sweet, quiet man - for some reason this struck me deeply. You are a beautiful looking couple. Love you, hugs and kisses, Madie
Patty, My deepest sympathy and prayers to you and your family. May you treasure the beautiful memories of Eugene and forever hold them in your heart. Wishing you peace and comfort in the days ahead. Warmest condolences, Lorraine Stasi
Our condolences to the family at this time of grief. Mr. Eugene Walsh was a wonderful neighbor: always willing to lend a helping hand, engaged in nice conversations and always encouraging. He will be missed. May the Lord grant him a resting place.
In our thoughts and prayers,
Kenny & Ranata

To Kat and the Walsh family - my deepest condolences. Although I did not get a chance to know Eugene that well, I know him now through some of the most wonderful stories, photos and memories shared by yourself, Connie and others. It’s clear that he had such a strong personality and such a big heart! Although this time is tough - know that we are here to support you through it. All my best - Roto
My condolences to the whole family. Sending my thoughts, love, and prayers for you all. Eugene was the man! From soccer, Montauk, playing with the go cart, and just being at the Walsh house - it was always a good time. He'd often make an extra dinner plate for me because he knew how much I enjoyed his cooking and even show Kathleen and I the tricks. Chris at times would steal it, but thats okay :) lol. He was always looking out for others and making sure people were taken care of. He became everyone's friend in an instant of meeting him and always gave everyone a good laugh. It was never a dull moment. I'm grateful to be able to have gotten to know him. There have been so many good memories with the Euge, and I will always cherish them. He will be deeply missed. <3
So sorry my condolences to all

My deepest sympathy to Patty the ,kids and grandchildren. Although I only met him a few times he was such a gentleman. You also could see the love that he and Patty shared whenever I saw them together. He fought hard and long and will be missed. So sorry for his loss. Mary Ellen
Gene was such a big part of my childhood. He was the most amazing soccer coach anyone could ever ask for. I can only hope my children encounter such a great coach as i did. I don’t know how he put up with our group of girls but he did with a smile. Shuffling us from game to game in the famous van. He was eager to teach and proud when we mastered what he taught us. He will be so very missed and forever a Ronkonkoma rebel.
I only had the chance to meet Eugene a few times. However, I did learn a few things about him in those meetings. First, I learned that he never stops moving. At the block party's he was constantly moving around and checking in on everyone. He was offering drinks and joining in on all of the fun. Second, he absolutely loved his children and grandchildren. He told us stories of the kids when they were young and he lit up when speaking about them. In particular, I was over the house during an islanders game. After each goal, Christopher would leave his friends to run down and discuss the game with his Dad. You could hear the joy in his voice. It was very special to see the love between father and son. I also saw the happiness as he watched Andrew and Reid swim in the pool. Third, he fully loved Patty. At the block parties, he would listen to her with amusement in his eyes. Lastly, while Axe throwing i also learned that the competitive nature found in all the Walsh children came from him as well!! I only got to meet him a few times but between that and stories from Patty I feel like I've known him forever. He will be sorely missed. Sending the entire Walsh family my love and prayers.
Sending all my love "baby" brother.
