Pam Lerner left a message on February 23, 2020:
A person's legacy lies not within words written on pages, nice as they may be, but rather in the hearts and souls of those known as well as those strangers touched in fleeting moments. Florence Spataro freely gave love to all, gave hope to the hopeless and showered mercy on those covered in anything but. She taught forgiveness to those needing to be shown the way and she reversed the damage and brokenness of the suffering. Mama Flo delivered peace and understanding to those that never had and she validated and made those that never felt anything other than shame, fear, unworthiness, loneliness, inadequacy, weakness, non-belonging, being a waste, being nothing other than a complete & utter failure and not only unlovable but no reason to be loved a home. A home that was full of everything that was longed for. A home that you belonged in. A home where all pain and sorrow was replaced with love and acceptance. A love and acceptance that was real. Not forced or mandatory or anything other than truly felt. Florence was a light that shown in the darkest of moments. A light that will continue to burn, albeit dimmed, in the hearts of all those she encountered. She changed my life and despite not giving me it, she breathed life into a deadened soul. The world, as well as my own, has suffered a major loss with the passing of this incredible soul and it will be bleaker from here on in. But if anything the life of this remarkable woman taught us: LOVE when it is good, LOVE when it is bad, LOVE when it is easy, LOVE when you're sad, LOVE when it is hard, LOVE when you're mad, LOVE when you're happy and just LOVE cause it is grand! Love you Mama Flo. You will forever be missed but you will always live in the hearts of those blessed to have had you in their life!

Words cannot express our sorrow . We lost our friend, our sister. She was so much more than a sister-in-law. This world lost a gentle, loving, caring, giving soul. We try to take comfort in the fact that she is no longer suffering and is with her sister who she missed so much and her parents. She will ALWAYS be remembered and we always be here for you.
Ed and Ginger Podmore left a message on February 22, 2020:
Eternal rest grant to her, O Lord; and let light perpetual shine upon her May her soul, and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace.

Dear Cory & Jim and the Spataro family I am so saddened by Florence’s sudden loss. My heart breaks for each one of you. It isn’t easy to lose someone we love, but since I lost my parents, I can tell you I feel my parents around me, it might be just a short visit from a butterfly, but at that moment I know they are there, watching over me, you just feel it and you know. Look for those signs, these signs will help you get thru the grief, your mom was such a loving Mom and she will be there for you So sorry I live so far away, but I am with you all in spirit
