Giacomazzo, Frank of Holbrook, N.Y. died on March 12, 2018 in his 99th Year. Beloved husband of the late Jean. Devoted father of Carl and Salvatore. Cherished grandfather of Matthew, Jason nad Christopher Giacomazzo and great grandfather of Cedric Giacomazzo. Born in Rochester, NY, raised in Casablanca, Morocco. Served in the U.S. Army Air Corp during WWII, assigned to the 352nd Fighter Squadron and the 353rd Fighter Group in England as an Aircraft mechanic qualified on the P-40, P-47 and the P-51 Aircraft, attained the rank of Staff Sergeant. Worked for Grumman Aerospace as an electronic technician on the F-14 program as well as the Lunar Excursion module project and also research and development programs. He retired from Grumman in 1980.

Reposing at Moloney’s Holbrook Funeral Home 825 Main Street Holbrook. Visitation will be held Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M., funeral service will be held Monday March 19th 9:15AM followed by interment in Calverton National Cemetery at 10A.M.
