We were so sad to hear that you left us after fifty years of being our beloved neighbor. We will always remember the good times we spent together under the wisterias. You will remain in our thoughts forever.

Shelley Pottridge (for sisters and brothers et al) left a message on January 20, 2022:
A wonderful sister and friend! We were so blessed that we found Jan ( or she found us) after too many years! Because of her love and desire to capture years we missed together we were given wonderful years and times with her and Gordon. When we finally met it was like we always had. Our hearts break for Kristen, Gordy, Liz and families but we know you have the most wonderful treasure of her in you. Lord bring His peace and comfort. She is truly missed.
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.
Sheila Breck left a message on January 20, 2022:
Jan was a dear friend. We met at a drawing class about 40 years ago and have been friends ever since. She was a great artist and a wonderful lady. I will miss her and have missed her in her illness. The art world will mourn her beautiful work. I am thankful to have known her.
Irene Ruddock, President of the Setauket Artists left a message on January 20, 2022:
Jeanette Dick was a much loved member of the Setauket Artists for over forty years. She was an integral part of the art world which includes membership in the Catherine Lorillard Wolfe Art Organization, a nationally prominent group for woman. Known for her stunning portraits and dramatic landscapes, she displayed her work in one -woman shows and galleries across Long Island. Jeanette will be remembered for her remarkable work ethic, but her memory will be cherished for her quiet disposition of compassion and empathy toward others. Her enduring Christian faith sustained her on her life's journey. Precious words that come to mind are from Proverbs: 27:9 " A sweet friendship refreshes the soul." Jeanette surely did refresh the souls of all who were blest to call her friend. May you Rest in Peace, dear Jeanette. Love, from your Setauket Artists fiends.
