I have so many fond memories with phufaji that I will always cherish! Being the first child on dads side of the family, I was really pampered by my phufaji and bhua... From traveling with them around the US when I was all of 12 years old to spending a lot of time in NY during dads illness.... Phufaji’s larger than life persona and heart.... radiated warmth, love and concern throughout our lives! Extremely attentive and supportive to family and friends and the vast number of lives he touched during his 80 years....! Always quick to solve problems, offer solutions, joke around with seniors as well as kids.... Appreciated and vocalised what he liked (and didn’t like)...dressed immaculately behind his white coat! We can never forget the love, support and dependability he showed us during dads illness.. For me...NY will never be the same... His void will never be filled... As it’s said rightly... “God takes the Best” Phufaji, you will truly be missed and forever remembered

What to say of our beloved Kishen Uncle? To celebrate his life is to recognize a loving person that lived with vitality, passion, and opinion. We gleefully witnessed his love for so many and so much: family gatherings, the medical profession, exemplary fruit, and a great bargain. We miss that love so painfully and will tell his stories.
Nirupika Sharma left a message on February 22, 2021:
I would like to offer my condolences to the family and loved ones of Dr. Krishana K Jajoo. I am deeply, deeply sorry for your loss. I would also like to take a few moments to share my experience of knowing Dr. Jajoo. I am the daughter of Anita Sharma, who worked alongside Dr. Jajoo at his medical practice for 18 years. Dr. Jajoo knew me and my two siblings from when we were just young kids. I remember all the days when my mom would be late to work because she had to cook us breakfast, drive us to school, take care of us. Normally, consistent lateness to work means losing your job, but Dr. Jajoo was extremely sympathetic and kind to my mother and us. He understood that she was an immigrant, just like him, who was working part-time and had 3 children to feed and take care of. Because of his understanding and consideration, we got to see our mom more than other kids might have. We were always welcome in the office, and Dr. Jajoo always treated us as if we were his family too. There is something to be said about all of the people who have an impact on us, whether big or small, directly or indirectly. Dr. Jajoo cared for my mom and was like a father to her; he impacted her life directly in so many ways, which trickled down into significant impacts in the lives of her children. Dr. Jajoo wanted the best for my mom, and he wanted the best for us. Every time I would visit their office, he would ask me why I wasn’t in medical school. It was clear to me that Dr. Jajoo loved his job, his life, and his passions. In encouraging me to consider medical school, he wanted to see other people be just as happy and secure in their careers. I am sure a lot of that had to do with the hard work he put in to become a doctor in India, in the UK, and in America. He was the first doctor from India that I met in my lifetime. And I thought he was so brilliant. We looked up to his children, Parul and Kunal, as we heard the stories of their successes from my mom. The little things you notice about people, the hard work they put into their own journeys, the things you admire about them, the things they say to you, the kindness they show you, all of these seemingly small things fuse together to create one, big snowball effect. In Indian culture, everyone is an uncle or aunty, an extended family member. Dr. Jajoo was like a father to my mom. Likewise, he was like a grandfather to us. He would always send us money whenever we achieved an academic milestone. I never spent any of it, instead I held on to it for good luck. Today, myself and my siblings are successful in each of our endeavors. My sister followed in his footsteps and is becoming a doctor. Dr. Jajoo also helped her in many ways and gave her a lot of advice on the process. My brother was especially fond of him. My mother — a woman who moved to America at a very young age, not knowing much English — is standing on her own feet. Clearly he helped anyone and everyone within his reach. I was hoping to visit Dr. Jajoo for the last few months, to sit with him and thank him for his graciousness throughout our lives. But I believe he will always be with us. To Dr. Jajoo, thank you. To his family and loved ones, may we remember him and his astounding legacy. Please take care.

It is with a smile and some tears I write this. I smile because I can hear Jajoo Uncle’s voice telling me to cut some mangoes, I cry because I am now unable to eat mangoes with him. I truly believe that nothing is actually lost in the universe. Everything is energy and energy is never lost. Jajoo Uncle has an extraordinary and remarkable energy that might not physically be a part of the material world anymore, he might not be a person in the sense of a human being, but he is a part of this world. For me Jajoo Uncle is still here, but not in the same way as before. He is in everything I have learned from him, in his creations, in his children, in our hearts, and most definitely in our memories. I know Jajoo Uncle is still here when I hear his voice telling me where to buy papaya from or where to look for something I can’t find. Jajoo Uncle you will be missed dearly but loved each and every day by me. My love, prayers, blessings, and heartfelt condolences to Ranu Auntie, Kunal and family, & Parul and family.

I have great admiration, pride and affection for Shri K K Jajoo. From the few times I met him while visiting my sister Vasundhara Sureka & brother-in-law (Late Shri Santoshji Sureka), I took great liking for him for his friendliness, affectionate and pleasing disposition as well as sincere liking for his friends and folks around him. He also hailed from the same village as us in Rajasthan (town of Chirawa) with the Jajoo Haveli being exactly across the street from ours. Although the whole family (and friends) is going to be saddened by his passing on, one should take consolation in the fact that He continues to be amongst us in each and every member of the beautiful family he leaves behind.

Man does work and the sands of time erase that work. However, for us, the work of Dr. Kishen Jaoo cannot, will not, must not be erased. Kishen was everyone's physician ... everyone's doctor uncle. He went out of his way to help all. For those who had insurance or money, he helped .. for those who did not, he helped. He was tireless in efforts to be the best Father, Husband, and/or friend he could be. His life touched so many ... helped so many. In the midst of all this he made time for friends and relatives. He has a large circle that will miss him. We all would tease him that he was never going to retire. We will miss you - So will all your friends and family. God take you into himself. The Hedas
