The Clark family has prayed for the Vlismas family. Scouting memories with Mr. V will always stick with Patrick and I. One day we hope to give our children the opportunity to join the Boy Scouts. Mr. V was one of a kind and arranged many special trips for Troop 414 though the years. His commitment to service and his character influenced me. Mr. V’s energetic personality, his story telling and his humor I will always remember. Mr. V was so proud of the number of scouts in Troop 414 that made the rank of Eagle Scout - a testament to his leadership.

Lou was a great friend to Troop 58 in Southampton and he will be missed. He had a major impact on many young men in Eastern Suffolk County and helped many scouts in Troop 58. I was the Chair for about 10 years and Lou's assistance and imput was invaluable to my success and the success of the troop!

My thoughts and prayers go out to the entire Vlismas family. I can't even begin to tell you what Mr V meant to me growing up. He was always someone we, as scouts, wanted to make proud. No one can ever talk about Troop 414 without thinking of Mr. V. Some day we will meet again and I'll bring the bug juice!! Until then, love and miss you Poppa V.
