Father John McGratty left a message on February 22, 2021:
My brother Michael was a real sports addict: primarily for his Yankees, but he would watch ANY sports program on TV with the exception of the Boston Red Sox. He loved going to Church---Mass at the LISVHome--- and praying the Rosary with other vets at the Home. Michael---or should I say "Mickey" as the other residents and Staff at the Vets Home called him---and enough cannot be said of the care and attention that he received at the Long Island State Veterans Home at Stonybrook.
Elaine left a message on February 21, 2021:
Michael with his love of the Yankees, his dedication to the NAVY, and his aboslute stubborn streak, will long be remembered! Enjoy your heavenly reunions Michael!
