Bobby Though we have not spoken in some time the news of your passing has left an emptiness in me ..The late 70's and early 80,s were some of the best times in my life It seemed like you and I were invincible always running around without a care in the world. All along the metropolitan ave strip we gathered for good times with other friends. And summer was spent at the cabana in breezy point. But time moves forward and things change and you don't stay in contact as much ,and in the end all you have are your memories of time gone by.My memories of you Bob are only good ones .How ironic that just a few days before your passing my Brother Al was laid to rest in the exact same funeral home. Him also gone to soon . Bob my deepest condolence to your family and the loved ones you leave behind Look down on us Bob from time to time.
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.

Bobby Fagan..unbelievable too young.. Many a great time shared with him before his law enforcement day's.. worked the "door" with Steve at Fagans Four a legend in the 80s.. some of the best memories of my life.. Bobby behind the bar always a frosty mug waiting when we arrived.. with Kevin on the floor the bar was known as the best place in Queens for dance music.. Brooklyn and Long Island girls came in droves to dance and enjoy themselves without interference as per Bobby's rules.. When we stepped out on off nights to 2001 Odessey in BayRidge or Heskels it was like we were with Travolta himself the way Bobby was received.. And then there was the boat.. Zachs Bay and the afternoons and evenings at Channel 80 or Paddy McGees.. Always a standup guy.. old school with class Bobby was welcomed with open arms much like he was received above.. Rest in Peace Bobby..

You promise yourself you’ll do it soon. Soon turns into a week, then a month, then a year and before you know it decades have past. Approximately between the ages of 23-33 Bobby and I were joined at the hip. Bobby a bar owner and me a self-employed DJ Entertainer. We would spend summer days on the beach and nights in Fagan Four. It was a 10 year run most young men only dream of. We had it all. He was in my Wedding party and I in his; twice. Careers change, zip codes change, telephone numbers change and life goes on however a unique friendship and bond never changes. I really thought that one day after we both retired we would pick up where we left off. Bobby you left a big footprint where ever you walked. I’m sorry we couldn’t have had one more beer together. I’ll see you on the other side brother. My friends, if you’re thinking of doing it soon; do it today.

Reading all the tributes to Bobby brings back so many memories of all the good people at the USMS. Bobby stands out in my mind for his unflagging support, dependable wise counsel, dedication to his craft, and a sense of humor that could make my belly hurt from laughing so hard. Now I hurt knowing he's no longer with us. Bobby was a great friend and colleague.

Uncle Bob, This still doesn’t seem real. I’ll cherish the memories of you making me Shirley Temples at the bar, the sneakers you always bought us for Christmas, the crazy work stories you’d always share, and my favorite, the time you caught me in a 7-11 cooler with a couple of bottles of Boone’s Farms (you paid, of course). You always had the biggest personality in the room, and the most loving heart. You were taken from us far too soon and we’ll miss you forever.
Daniel Sullivan left a message on April 17, 2019:
Uncle Bob, I can't believe you're gone and I'm going to miss you. You are such a cool guy with the best delivery of one-liners. I admired your passion to the USMS. You were always so generous from our sneakers, to your Marshals mementos, and to having Harp available for me when I came by. You and Aunt Linda were always supportive and I will miss your tight hugs and expression of pride that you had in me. Love, Daniel
Dominic Guadangoli S/NY "77" left a message on April 17, 2019:
My heartfelt wishes to all the Fagan Family, both his true family and his USMS family; that you all may find peace in your hearts and that each and every thought of Bobby brings a smile to your face. His smile alone could do that to you. While I was in NY I was fortunate enough to have him as a colleague and then a boss at every level all the way up to when he was Acting Marshal. Always a fair boss and did his best to make sure his people were safe and taken care of. If he never made you smile or laugh at least once - you didn't know him well enough. There were a lot of "Bobbyisms" but my favorite was and I still use it often to this day, "One hand washes the other but both wash the face". I was lucky to know you and honored to work with and for you. You have made your final Irish Exit! Rest in Peace

To the Fagan Family, my deepest sympathy and heartfelt condolences on the passing of Bobby. He was the consummate professional and knew how to make things happen and get things done. Yes, indeed, he was a graduate of "Handling School" because he always handled his business and that of the USMS. More importantly, he was highly thought of and loved by many. I will miss my dear friend as I was shocked of the news of his passing. I was just thinking about Bobby over the weekend as I was in a conversation with someone and my mind went to him. Never did I think my next thought of him would be to learn of his passing. My thoughts and prayers are with Bobby's family, friends, and relatives.

After a particular day at U.S. Marshals Service HQ, I received a voicemail from Bobby. Bobby expressed his support and talked about our friendship and the work we had done as partners. It was a wonderful gesture and I still have the voicemail saved on my phone. That call was over seven years ago. My condolences to the entire family. Bobby was a wonderful person: intelligent and excellent at his job, with a big heart and ready smile. I am sorry that I cannot attend the services. However, I will raise a glass in honor of my friend. We love you, Bobby.
