Sal was an inspiration to me and a mentor to my husband. He taught me the importance of asking questions, and he made each and every person he met feel special to them. I miss you Sal. I'll miss our dinners and time together. I'll miss your wisdom. I'm glad you and Mary are now reunited, and I thank you for all you have taught me. Love you tons.

Thank you Lord for the privilege and honor of knowing your servant Sal; a trophy of your grace demonstrating faithfully your love for others!
On the afternoon of Dec. 23,1967, "Mr. Nicosia" came to the front door of my parent's home in Medford to wish me luck on my wedding which was just a couple hours away. Besides, my Dad, he was the only other man to see me in my wedding gown before the ceremony. I will never forget that. It was a joy to see him again at the PHS 50th Reunion in 2014. May he rest in peace.
Felt very fortunate to have met up with both Sal, his son and daughter in law on their visit to Maine last year. Had a great visit along with interesting conversations. May he rest in peace
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.
Sal will always remember your passion for teaching our students civics. May you rest in peace,
Only met you a few years ago through Josephine Marietta at Hofstra Italian radio show. Enjoyed your stories, smile and always positive words. You will be missed by many. We were blessed to have known you. Our condolences to you family. Sincerely Jet and Pat
May our Lord Jesus Christ bless keep you by his side forever. I will miss our calls. Say hello to Dad and Angelo... until we all meet again...
Eternal rest grant unto him O Lord. Say hello to the Angelos!
I have just learned of the passing of my dear friend of 64 years. Sal and I met on the teachers' first day of Patchogue-Medford's 56-57 school year. He was eutrophic
I have just learned of Sal's passing and the ending of an active friendship which began 64 years ago. Sal's love of teaching was euphoric, his enthusiasm boundless as was his sincere interest in his students and in people generally. His professional recognition extends throughout the Patchogue-Medford and Sachem school districts and beyond.
My deepest sympathy to the family.
