Fanny Frances Proscia-DeRenzo (Daughter) left a message on February 17, 2020:
The Celebration of a Life well Lived! As many of us who knew my father, he loved to share stories about his blessed and incredible life. Because dad had experienced so many wonderful miracles in his life, he was eager to share the positive message of appreciating each day with as many people as he could. This was especially true after he survived heart surgery about five years ago and felt he was given more time in this world for a special mission of reminding people to enjoy each and every precious moment in this world, and he let no grass grow under his feet when it came to that mission. He would stop and talk to anyone especially those who looked worried or distraught and tell him the many miracles that occurred in his life-giving people hope and something to smile about. He often made people feel good about life and many went away thanking him for sharing his incredible story. My father was an excellent role model. He taught us the value of hard work and having pride in that work. If anyone ever needed a hand up or a hand out he was there for them. He was a great mentor and friend not only to his children and family, to his work associates and anyone who was in trouble and in need of a hand up. He viewed the world as his extended family. Dad had an incredible ability to fix not only people but just about anything. There was no problem or challenge that he wasn’t up for. His mind was always active and creative right to the very end. He was always inventing and creating things to solve people’s problems and I am sure if he had a patent for each of those it could easily be over a thousand. Dad was a very sharp, strong, caring, generous loving man. He would never complain to us about his sufferings and sometimes that got him into trouble. In life though he often did not recognize his wonderful qualities we all could plainly see. I could go on and on about all the wonderful qualities my dad possessed. You could also fill a book with the incredible true stories of his life. He would often say pretty much daily, “I don’t know why I am so blessed and have had such a wonderful life and get another day to enjoy it?” Well anyone who knows my dad could easily tell you why. He wants all not to morn him but to celebrate that life well lived. Love you forever Dad still my Superhero and Now My Guardian Angel as well!
