Open Letter from Our Owners to our Grieving Neighbors

mkj • Sep 22, 2021

The worldwide impact of COVID-19 has had its own unique impact on our team at Moloney Family Funeral Homes. With this letter, we want to address our grieving neighbors in the Long Island area and acknowledge those who are suffering the death of a family member or friend. We understand that the loss of a loved one is incredibly difficult to process.

We are committed to supporting your needs at this challenging time of life. Nobel Prize-winning writer Toni Morrison once called it being “busy in grief,” and anyone who has lived through a significant loss understands what she means. Perhaps you too find yourself at this “busy” juncture, where time stretches out endlessly and laughs don’t come easily. If the thought of planning a funeral is overwhelming for you at the moment, we understand. Many of our staff members have suffered a loss that has deeply impacted their life. Our compassionate team at Moloney is ready to see you through the arduous time leading up to the funeral service and beyond.

As you move through this grief, we are committed to supporting you at every step of the way, from cremation or burial to a personalized and meaningful reception. We recognize how important it is to have a reliable friends and family surrounding you while facing seemingly endless afternoons of grief. We ask that you consider letting Moloney Family Funeral Homes be a part of your support network during this time.

With over a century of experience serving Lake Ronkonkoma ,   HolbrookCentral Islip , and  Port Jefferson Station , our family-owned and run funeral home prides itself on offering personalized services for each and every family we serve. We respect and value the importance of ceremony and ritual when the death of a loved one occurs. At Moloney, we facilitate services for a variety of faiths and religions.

We promise to meet every family where they are in their grief journey. We are ready to honor your  loved one with a tailored funeral experience—whether that involves interactive grief support , a personalized tribute like a memory board or custom flowers, or a visit with Kota, our grief therapy dog.

Remember: No matter how busy you are with your grief, you are never alone in it. Reach out to our dedicated team to arrange funeral services in the Long Island area and start planning today.
